Live@SimeDarbyLPGA to show ‘Malaysia’s most fun golf event’
to worldwide audience

KUALA LUMPUR, 27 OCTOBER 2016 – This week’s Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia will continue to break new ground in Asian event broadcasting, when it airs the 2016 edition of Live@SimeDarbyLPGA Malaysia to a global audience of millions.

Available in Malaysia and around the world via Fox Sports 3 Asia; Astro Golf Channel;;;, and, the new 90 minute programme will air from 9.30am to 11am from Thursday 27th to Sunday 30th October, providing viewers with an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the prestigious LPGA event prior to the start of the main broadcast feed at 11.00am local time.

Produced by IMG Productions, the broadcast continues to embrace the digital age of broadcast and the tournament’s #WomenWithDrive philosophy, featuring a mix of glamour, high fashion, music, food, tips from the pros, interviews and plenty of fun, as Executive Producer of IMG Productions Michael O’Dwyer explained:

Live@SimeDarbyLPGA will be in addition to the four hour live daily broadcast, which will be distributed to over 200 million households across 150 territories worldwide. Fox Sports Asia will once again deliver pan Asian coverage with other major broadcasters, including Fox Sports Australia, Golf Channel in North America, and Malaysia’s Astro SuperSport taking the feed.

Under the direction of Executive Producer O’Dwyer, the commentary team will be led by expert golf commentator and TV anchor Warren Smith, supported by a team of international and local expert presenters including former LPGA player Alison Whitaker, Kate Burton, Sandy McKenzie and Kelly Latimer.

The programme will once again be coming straight from the Live@SimeDarbyLPGA sky tower, which will see the commentary and production team positioned in the heart of the tournament concourse in a glass booth near the Chairman’s Pavilion and practice putting green.
